The Function of Reason

Alfred North Whitehead was an English mathematician and philosopher. He co-authored Principia Mathematica with Bertrand Russell, and then, later in his career, worked on the philosophy of science, the philosophy of education, and metaphysics. He wrote Science and the Modern World, Religion in the Making, The Aims of Education, Adventures of Ideas, and more.
