Leonard Bacon was an American poet and translator. His volumes of poetry include: Day of Fire (1943), Sunderland Capture (1940), which won the 1941 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry, Bullinger Bound (1938), The Goose on the Capitol (1936), Dream and Action (1934), a narrative poem about the life of Arthur Rimbaud, the epic Ulug Beg (1923), and several works in translation, including The Lusiads of Luis de Camões (1950).
