Edwin Arlington Robinson was an American poet known for psychologically acute portraits of disappointed, isolated, and sometimes tragic lives. He won three Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry and is remembered for poems including “Richard Cory,” “Miniver Cheevy,” and the Tilbury Town sequence.
