Dorothy L. Sayers was an English novelist, poet, playwright, essayist, and translator, best known for her detective fiction featuring Lord Peter Wimsey. Her later work increasingly addressed theology, creativity, education, and language, and included a celebrated translation of Dante’s Divine Comedy.
