Ahad Ha-Am, the pen name of Asher Ginzberg, was a Hebrew essayist and one of the principal thinkers of cultural Zionism. He argued that a Jewish national revival required a spiritual and cultural center capable of renewing Hebrew culture as well as political institutions.
